Giant Screen Films

A guide to Brand USA's 3 giant screen/IMAX films

Brand USA has released three films, produced by MacGillivray Freeman Films, about the diversity of experiences possible in the USA. These inspirational films can be watched on GoUSA TV via Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire. Outside the USA, consumers can watch via LG Channels, Samsung TV Plus and many other platforms. The optimal viewing experience is in an IMAX or giant screen theater, for which these films have been specifically produced.

Contact your in-market Brand USA representative if you would like to organize a film screening event for your consumer or travel trade partners.

National Parks Adventure

ABOUT THE FILM: “National Parks Adventure” is Brand USA’s first giant-screen film commemorating the 100th anniversary of the National Parks Service in the USA. Narrated by Academy Award-winner Robert Redford, the award-winning film takes viewers on a spectacular journey through the treasured landscapes of national parks, including Yosemite and Yellowstone.

America’s Musical Journey

ABOUT THE FILM: “America’s Musical Journey” celebrates the diverse music and creative risk-taking spirit that characterize the USA. Follow Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Aloe Blacc as he traces Louis Armstrong’s footsteps through the colorful locales where the country’s music was born: iconic cities like New Orleans, Louisiana; Chicago, Illinois; Detroit, Michigan; New York City, New York; Nashville, Tennessee; Miami, Florida; and more. Meet the artists, music makers, storytellers and innovators who are shaping America’s culture today.

Into America’s Wild/Into Nature's Wild

ABOUT THE FILM: A celebration of the transformational allure of nature and wild places, “Into America’s Wild” (also called "Into Nature's Wild" in some markets) is an exhilarating ride – via kayak, bike, train, hot air balloon, zipline, kiteboard and more – into some of the most beautiful and undiscovered terrain of North America. From the wilds of Alaska and the lush coastline of Oregon to the ancient canyons of the Southwest and the rolling hills of the Appalachian Trail, Into America’s Wild is wall-to-wall with natural treasures and the joy that comes from spending time in nature. Guiding this journey are three trailblazers – pioneering Native American astronaut John Herrington, Alaskan pilot and youth advocate Ariel Tweto and record-breaking long-distance hiker Jennifer Pharr Davis – who share a passion for connecting people to experiences in the wild. As they wind their way through the scenic byways, ancient homelands, secret gems, and hidden trails of America, viewers will discover the special human connection we all share with the natural world.

How long does it take to review a request and order a film for showing? (Hint: We can’t turn it around in 5 days!)

It depends on the format, but typically requests for existing assets can be fulfilled within 2-3 weeks (not including shipping). Requests for new versions will take longer and processing time depends on the specs needed. All requests should include the country, date of screening if known, language(s), and specify 2D or 3D.

What equipment may be required to show the film?

This is dependent on what the theater or venue needs. A DCP (2D or 3D) is standard for commercial cinemas. If the venue is a screening room or a temporary venue like a trade show, an MP4 may suffice which can be played from a computer.

Are the films available in digital form to be projected on a screen?

Yes, all three films are available in DCPs that can be played in commercial cinemas. An MP4 can be played on a TV or projected on a screen.

Will you deliver the actual IMAX Film?

We can send IMAX Digital DCPs for an IMAX theater. We can review requests for IMAX 70mm prints on a case-by-case basis, but there are significant cost implications. Digital is typically more efficient.

Are there any costs involved?

There is a cost involved with providing IMAX DCPs. Please reach out to your in-market Brand USA rep for more information.
